Today I wrote my first (and the first official) online post for a site called Blogger Luv. This site is the brain child of John Sullivan, who is one of the hardest working bloggers I know. He is also one of the most giving bloggers I know, and will relentlessly promote someone else’s site if he thinks they are deserving of it.

The writers on Blogger Luv include 8 bloggers (one of which is me, and I am not sure who all the others are yet this thing is so new!) who will freely write on topics of  their choice. I have an idea who some of the others are, and I can guarantee you the content will be great!.

One of my favorite comedians when I was younger was Bill Cosby, I remember watching this video many times and laughing so hard my gut hurt!

This one lasts about 10 min, but try to take the time to get off Twitter and Facebook and relax with Bill, you won’t regret it!

Why You Should Link Out:

Most bloggers/webmasters think that by mostly linking in, you’ll increase PR, increase the average amount of time a visitor spends on your site, and increase traffic. While at the surface this may be true, I believe that linking out is just as good if not better than linking in and here are my reasons why:

6 Twitter Do’s and Don’ts:

I started using Twitter a couple of years ago when I first started blogging. I do believe that if used properly, it can be a great source for discovery and networking. I am writing this article for people that may be new to Twitter (and some that have been on it awhile) to give some advice that will help you in your quest to network on Twitter. No, I am not an expert in Twitter, but I have some experience with it and have manged multiple Twitter accounts (currently I have 4).

Before I get into my list, I want to say that Twitter has become more and more “spammy” and there are tons of “make money on Twitter” scams out there. I am not into that scene at all. Yes it is ok to promote your site and throw links out, but I try to also engage in conversation as well, as a matter of fact, if you don’t mix in re-tweets, replies and basic tweets with your promotional tweets, I will usually get tired of it and unfollow you.

Secret to SEO: Expert Opinion

I really was going to wait much longer before handing out secrets on this site, but the pressure is killing me. I spend the better part of my mornings reading “ exper t” blogs and learning from the best “ gurus ” in the business. They all want you to pay for this information I am about to reveal to you. I have researched for thousands of hours to come up with this plan to boost your SEO to the next level, so feel free to link back to me so I can get credit please (I plan on writing a book later and will need all the credit I can get for this one!)

Follow Up To Pagerank: It Really Doesn’t Matter

Since writing my “ Why Your PageRank Doesn’t Matter ” article just this morning, there have been a number of really great comments from a few of my regular readers and I wanted to clear the air about my article.

As I stated in the article, my opinion of the TBPR (toolbar pagerank) is that it is not worth obsessing over. Your time is much better spent creating content fit for HUMANS instead of losing sleep over something that is outdated and inaccurate you could be doing something productive with your website.

Why Your PageRank Doesn’t Matter

After a week of seeing PageRank article after PageRank article, I decided I needed to rant. I really don’t give a rat’s behind about yours or my PR, it has absolutely no bearing on whether I will continue to read your articles.

Yes it has been written on Google’s site about PageRank having an affect on the SERP’s, but as recently as October of 2009 this was written on Wiki:

On October 14, 2009, Google employee Susan Moskwa confirmed that the company had removed PageRank from its Webmaster Tools section. Her post said in part, “We’ve been telling people for a long time that they shouldn’t focus on PageRank so much; many site owners seem to think it’s the most important metric for them to track, which is simply not true.” PageRank was still displayed on the Google Toolbar web appliance two days after Moskwa’s confirmation.

If you want to spend all your time drooling on your Toolbar PageRank (which, by the way, isn’t even a true measure of Pagerank and I will be writing about that another time) then go ahead and be my guest.
