Using KeywordLuv Plugin
I have the KeywordLuv plugin on my blog (along with many other plugins) and I noticed some of my regular commentators don’t take advantage of it.
The reason it is there is so you can use keywords next to your name and the actual link is the keyword instead of your name. It is simple to use, and a great way to help get an anchor text link rather than your name for the link (unless you really want to rank for yourname).
So here is a quick tutorial for using the keywordluv plugin when you see it:
- Use the yourname@your keywords format (there can be spaces in the keywords).
That’s it! Pretty simple huh?
I also see people using keywords in the name fields and they neglect to put there actual name. I would prefer if you want the keywords, that you put your name (or nickname) first. Makes the comments more personal.
Getting links with anchor text like Lowes Coupon or Blogging Tips will help your rankings for those terms (along with many other factors).
Not saying you have to do this, but I think it is helpful to you, the commentator….

Keith,
Thanks for the tip. I just figured out how to do keywordluv a few weeks ago. I generally just use my blog name. Not sure what the best keywords for me to use. Second issues, sometimes I just forget to add the keywords or look for the keyword link at the bottom of the page.
I just started using it on another blog. I’ll make a habit of using it here too.
Hmm, think I messed that up. lol
I actually like this plugin, and I used to add my blog name after my name just in case the blog I am commenting on is running this plugin!
I will maybe run it on my blog as well on my next plugins update time! very nice plugin Keith!
I think it is always nice, as a blogger, to know the real name of someone you are talking to. At the same time it is nice to reward the people who make comments with a keyworded link.
I only wish the spammers would go away….
Hmmm, trying it now. I don’t actually trigger any keywords with my blog title. I prefer people to find me through specific posts. That’s why for SEO, I much prefer the Comluv plugin (with dofollow enabled). I don’t really care about the keywords in the name field.
What’s more, I don’t like it when people stuff keywords into their name field when they comment on my blog. Mentioning the blog name/url along with a real name may be ok, but depending on how they do it, even this can be too spammy.
Great Tips bro, I’m new on this. Your article is really help me. Thanks Keith
this is something new for me thanks for sharing
First off, thank you for using keywordluv and for the link love. Everyone should be taking advantage of this plugin.
Hi,
KeywordLuv Plugin is something very best to have and also it attracts the visitors and also allow them to add valueable comments, and also to utilize the name space iwth Keywords.
Looks like you got it right the second time, I will fix link in first comment for you.
Thanks Hesham, and thanks for commenting here….maybe one day I will be a “famous blogger”
I really don’t get anymore spam than I did before adding do-follow, commentluv, and keywordluv to my blogs.
No your title is very unique, but building a brand for it may make it a household name!
I’ve been trying to figure out how to use keyword luv. You just answered my question.
thanks for the info.
I cannot believe people are not aware of the advantages of keywordluv plugin. Everyone are hunting madly to place keywords as anchor text over the web. But I also know some of my friends who deliberately remove their keywords from anchor texxt. When asked they said its a different strategy.. I simply dont understand them.
For some reason (laziness probably) I never take advantage of the Keyword Luv plugin, cardinal sin on my part that’s for sure. Thank you for the reminder Keith.
I think this will be the next plug in I use, I did use to think the comments looked messy with name swapped for keyword, but this is way better having the name and keyword.
But I have seen a fair few of you using this along with the commentluv one, so maybe it would a good move to also let you all benefit from using it on mine.
Hope that works on my blog, will test it, thanks.
I have been commenting on blogs with the keywordluv plugin now for about 2 weeks now, and I have seen my keywords moved up in the search engines from nothing to about 300 down on the list. This isn’t good, but at least it is a start.
I hope that everyone who is reading this takes his advice. This blogger has been there and back and seriously knows what is going on.
Keywordluv Information has evaded me for a while, but now I think that I have gotten the hang of it, sometimes it’s just the simple explination that will make things better. Thanks for posting this info.
